Cinnamon Protein French Toast

I have decided that food deserves its own page on my blog! I think you all have probably figured out that I love food, and it is a creative outlet for me! I want you to be able to see all of the creative recipes that my sister and I make!

I want all of you to believe me when I tell you that healthy food does not have to be bland or boring. You can eat really good food if you follow some of easy tricks, and put some thought into your preparation! So Ms. Fit's Food will be recipes that I think you all will enjoy! These recipes will be all of your favorite foods, with a healthy twist and new perspective! The first recipe is Vanilla Cinnamon Protein French Toast! I am not going to take credit for this recipe though. My very creative little sister produced this masterpiece! This will be the first of many recipes you see coming from her kitchen!

One important thing to note about this recipe is that it can be modified to fit your favorite flavors combinations! You can use whatever protein powder you want (or have on hand), and any healthy topping your heart desires!

Here is what you need:

2 slices of Ezekiel bread

1/3c Liquid Egg Whites

1 scoop of Cellucor Cinnamon Swirl protein powder

1/2c unsweetened vanilla almond milk

dash of cinnamon

Topping Ideas:

Fruit

Frozen fruit (when microwaved it makes a great sauce, it is pretty thick)

Walden Farms (WF) syrup

Nut butters (hazelnut, almond, cashew, peanut butter)

Directions:

Whisk egg whites, protein powder, almond milk, and cinnamon together. Dip Ezekiel bread into egg mixture on both sides, until bread is nicely coated. Spray a pan with non-stick cooking spray and put on medium heat. Cook until each side is golden brown! I suggest topping it with 1 tbsp Cookie Butter, Walden Farms Pancake syrup, and Fat free cool whip!
